Infared Sauna

Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna

Our saunas offer near, mid, and far infrared wavelengths. As your body absorbs the infrared heat, this will increase thermal energy inducing a deep and relaxing sweat.

When your body warms up, it taps into a variety of natural, beneficial processes that increase metabolism, improve skin, boost mood, eliminate toxins, burn fat, and more.

Infrared heat provides all the healthy benefits of natural sunlight without any of the dangerous effects of solar radiation.

Sauna benefits start with vigorous sweating and an increased heart rate, similar to moderate exercise. Infrared saunas give these results at lower temperatures (110-135 deg.) than do regular (single hot heat source, 150-190 deg) saunas, making the experience more tolerable for most people.

What does sauna benefit?

  • Heart and circulatory health (PMID: 19602651)
  • Higher frequency of sauna use is associated with a reduced risk of sudden cardiac death, fatal coronary heart disease, fatal cardiovascular disease, and all-cause mortality. All-cause mortality decrease is the ultimate test of the benefit of an intervention! (PMID: 25705824)
  • Available evidence suggests that sauna may be linked to several health benefits, which include reduction in the risk of vascular diseases such as high blood pressur, cardiovascular disease, and neurocognitive diseases; nonvascular conditions such as pulmonary diseases; mortality; as well as improvement of conditions such as arthritis, headache, and flu (PMID: 30077204)
  • Increases healthspan, the period of good health during the aging process. Large, prospective, population-based cohort studies of health outcomes among sauna users found a strong dose-dependent link between sauna use and reduced morbidity (sickness) and mortality (death rate) (PMID: 34363927)
  • Recovery following exercise (PMID: 29849692)
  • Pain reduction (PMID: 16088266)
  • Relaxation can lead to decreased anxiety/depression (PMID: 34674592)
  • May reduce incidence of common cold (PMID: 2248758)
  •

Contraindications

  • Multiple sclerosis. People who have MS tend to be heat intolerant; sauna use is not recommended
  • Pregnancy. Sauna use early in pregnancy, may be harmful to the fetus and may cause birth defects due to a rise in core temperature (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists)
